## What Folio & Night Audit does

- **Guest folio** — every charge, tax and payment on one running statement.
- **Charge posting** — laundry, minibar, spa, transport and custom charge codes.
- **Tax and service-charge engine** — configurable VAT and service charge per property, effective-dated, with compounding where required.
- **Split bills and share division** — several bills per stay, or divide a bill by percentage in one step.
- **Transfer a bill to another room** — a family in two rooms settles once; the transfer can be undone.
- **Payments and deposits** — cash, card, bank transfer, mobile wallet and city-ledger settlement, including partial payments.
- **Refunds** — capped at what is owed and defaulted to the original payment method.
