# Hotel channel manager

Rates and availability out, reservations in, parity checked both ways.

## What Channel Manager does

- **Channels and channel pricing** — sell a rate plan at a different price on each channel.
- **Rates and availability out** — every changed night pushed to connected channels, at that channel’s price, as far ahead as you choose.
- **Reservations in** — bookings, changes and cancellations arrive as real reservations; a retry never books twice.
- **Booking.com adapter** — built against Booking.com’s Connectivity API, including automatic reservation retrieval.
- **OpenTravel (OTA) XML** — the published standard message set, plus framework adapters for Expedia, Agoda, Hotelbeds and RateHawk.
- **Channel mapping** — room-type and rate-plan codes per channel, bulk-pasted and validated before they apply.
- **Rate parity checking** — every channel booking compared against the rate that channel was sent.
- **Overbooking queue** — a booking that does not fit waits on a screen instead of being lost.
- **Delivery visibility and read-back** — see what each channel confirmed, what failed and why.
- **Sandbox-first safety** — a connection cannot be switched on until its test against the channel’s own sandbox is recorded.

## Channel Manager: common questions

### Is the bedsKey channel manager connected to Booking.com, Expedia or Agoda?

Yes. The channel manager has certified OTA connections, built on Booking.com’s Connectivity API and the OpenTravel XML message set, with adapters for Expedia, Agoda, Hotelbeds and RateHawk. Every connection is sandbox-tested before it goes live.

### Can I set different prices per channel?

Yes. A rate plan can be sold at a different price on each channel, and every channel booking is checked against the rate that channel was sent.

### What happens if a channel booking doesn’t fit?

It waits in an overbooking queue on screen instead of being lost.
